Hi, My name is Layla! I’ve been singing and acting since I was 5 years old and I just love the stage and become alive when I perform. I love stepping into a role and really becoming that character! I’ve been fortunate to be cast in over a dozen musical theatre productions including as Ursula from Little Mermaid and Crutchie from Newsies. I was a recipient of the Children Achieving Theater Excellence award, Gold medal recipient in middle school Olympics for the signing category, and have performed the National Anthem at many schools across the district and in front of thousands at sporting events. I am a songwriter and write my own lyrics and music on the piano. I’ve received the Certificate of Merit with State Honors for piano. Outside of performing arts, I enjoy swimming and am on a competitive swim team. Lastly, I’m a proud student at the Orange County School of the Arts in their Musical Theater Conservatory, where I study acting and music, and always ready for the next audition opportunity!.
